A = Miyuki™ 11/0 seed, White
B = Miyuki™ 11/0 seed, Crystal AB
Start by waxing and stretching your thread, use Nymo D
or C-Lon & a #11 or #12 beading needle. Tie in a
“stopper” bead, leaving about an 8” tail and begin at
step #1. *Fireline 4 or 6lb. crystal fishing line also
works great with the snowflakes. Rounds start at the Red dot ●

Round 1
Pick up 12A, make a circle and go with thread
through the 1st A bead just added. Continue with thread
around through all 12 beads again and through the 1st A
bead again. Circle of 12 made (C12). |

Round 2
Pick up 3A, skip over 1 bead in C12, go
with thread forward through the next A bead in C12. Repeat around 5
more times. At end of Round go forward with thread through the 1st &
2nd A beads added in this Round. |

Round 3
Pick up 4A; go with thread through the next 2nd A bead added in
Round 2. Repeat around 5 more times. At end of Round go forward with
thread through the 1st and 2nd A beads added in this round. |
Round 4,
a)
Pick up 1A, 5B, 4A, go with thread forward through the 4th bead from
needle.
b) Pick up 5B, 1A, go with
thread around thread and between the next 2nd & 3rd beads added in
Round 3, continue with thread up through the last A bead added.
c) * Pick up 5B, 4A, make a
circle and go with thread forward through the 4th bead from needle.
Pick up 5B, 1A, go with thread around thread and between the next
2nd & 3rd beads added in Round 3* Repeat * * 4 more times*, (*at the
4th repeat after picking up the second 5B, go with thread down into
the 1st A bead added in this round, around thread in Round 3 and up
through the A bead), continue forward through the first 5 B, 1 A,
and 1 B (of the second 5B) added in this round. Follow thread path
in drawing.

Round 5,
a) *Pick up 4A, go with thread,
from right to left through a 1st A bead in Round 3, 2nd bead in
Round 2 and a 4th bead in Round 3.
b) Pick up 1A, go with thread up
through the 2nd & 3rd A beads just added.
c) Pick up 1A, go with thread,
from left to right, through 5th B, 1st A & 1st through 4th B beads
added in Round 4.
d) Pick up 1B, go with thread
forward through the next 2nd through 5th B, the 1st A & the 1st B
beads added in Round 4.*
e) Repeat
* * around 5 more times.
If you would like to make a hanger with beads follow thread path in
drawing coming out with thread at the 3rd A bead added in Round 4.
To add
stiffness to the final snowflake, dip the snowflake in Future Floor®
Finish (wax). Dab excess on paper towel; lay flat on plastic wrap or
wax paper to dry over night.
